I graduated from The University of Richmond May 10th, 2015 with a degree in Arts and Sciences. I majored in Sociology and minored in Education.
Experience
I've tutored students at Dumbarton Elementary School in Richmond Virginia. One on one experience. Came prepared everyday with activities and lessons for the students I would tutor. I'm interested in being a tutor because it will allow me to gain more experience working with students and will better prepare me for being a teacher! As an education minor at the University of Richmond, I've taken classes in all 4 main subjects preparing me how to teach elementary level students. This includes Elementary math, science, english and history. These classes have prepared me by requiring extensive lesson plans, and one on one experience with students at various local elementary schools. I have also taken several education courses that thoroughly study the theories involved in education for a better understanding of how to become a well-rounded teacher in a diverse learning environment.

Hobbies
In my free-time, I like to relax at the beach and read books. This summer I will be taking on several hobbies such as learning how to play the guitar and photography with the canon camera that I received as a graduation present! Since I don't know where I plan on teaching yet, I will also be using this summer as a time to explore Long Island, as it might be my last Long Island summer. I enjoy being outside and exploring new areas.
